We live in a day and age where masculine energy (masculine ideals) seems to be more valued or favored in the world. Where competition, drive, outcome, and hustle are all ‘secret ingredients’ of success…

It is a shame, but I often see and hear feminine energy or femininity being misunderstood and almost seen not as important or not as valuable in our today’s society…

I often hear that a woman needs to ‘act like a man’ or stop being 'so emotional' if she wants to be successful, as otherwise she is seen as weak... However, feminine energy holds so much power and can be super valuable in business, career and personal life.

Here are some common misconceptions of what feminine is:

1. WEAK. This is a super common one, where emotions are being seen as a weakness instead of strength. We hear it all the time, especially in the world of business - ’stop being such a drama queen’, ‘why are you acting like a girl’, ‘you need to stop being so emotional’. It is almost like we are expected to be like robots - get the job done. In reality, emotions, human to human connection play such a big part in our lives… There is a reason why we don’t fall in love or connect on a deep level with a brick wall or a wooden fence, we fall in love or connect with another HUMAN BEING who has emotions, listens, understands and because of that, we feel a certain way as well. Our emotions and vulnerability allow us to connect deeper, share experiences, make difference, create shifts in this world… Being aware of your emotions is not a weakness, it is a strength and if you use it in the right way is so much more powerful than a nicely written contract…

2. PRETTY IN PINK. I have noticed that the media has formed this super girly image of femininity - flowery dresses, pink lipstick, sparkly jewellery…. That often is a reason why some of my clients do not resonate with wanting to be more ‘feminine’ as they simply don’t see themselves as this pink princes. I 100% agree with them! The feminine image doesn’t mean flowery dresses, pastel colors, sparkly jewellery… There are SOOO many versions of feminine… It doesn’t have color or gender… Is what makes you feel the most beautiful, sexy, sensual, gentle, authentic version of you!

3. NOT SERIOUS/ NOT MOTIVATED/ NOT DRIVEN. Just because feminine energy doesn’t compete, hustle, or always strive for achievement that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t serve an important purpose in life… I often see comments on social media, especially on very feminine women - that they are not serious, they don’t have goals, that they are only suitable to be only ‘arm candy’… that might not be the case at all. Feminine energy comes with powerful intuition, the ability to collaborate and co-create, trust in the journey and flow. Although that might not seem like socially accepted ‘hustle’ but it is so powerful not only in everyday life but in business as well…

Here are just a few misconceptions about femininity and feminine energy. From the outside it might look very fun, flow and gentle but deep inside it holds so much power. Feminine is truly a powerful experience or a way to be…
